General Updates

I've received more emails than expected over this period, but again I'm on vacation and barely have internet access as it is. I wont be able to do any emails until about 2nd January. But I'll do urgent codes after sending this update.

Hybrid V3: programmers are continuing work over this period. I expect in the second week of January I'll have a complete V3 to test in entirety (minus usual bugs etc). That's just estimating based on current progress. So it is fair to say we should have full completion by end of January.

JAA updates: The latest updates are almost completed to the point where I can test. Again these are very important updates that will automate a part so players need to know even less to succeed.

Many people are emailing me multiple times as if my lack of response is a problem. Please keep in mind the time of year. It is going to be one very busy January but a very productive one.

Away from Dec 24th - Jan 2nd

I've responded to all urgent emails and code requests. Just a reminder I'll be away Dec 24th - Jan 2nd. I may check emails during this period although only briefly if at all. Everyone have a merry Christmas and happy new years.

Uber Update and Holiday Schedule

The minor issue previously mentioned is fixed, but I now need to test everything. This will take a full day at least, but I may not be returning to work until early January, besides occasionally checking emails etc.

From now until early January, please do not expect a response, although I'll still do emails if I have time. However I'll still of course do access codes.

JAA Updates

Work has started on more JAA updates. This next one is particularly important and is the last major step for complete automation. After this, we'll do the integration with the spin collection software (for mobile phones). The estimated time for completion for this current part is 1.5 weeks but because of the time of year it will probably be around early January.

Uber roulette computer

The programmer is stuck on one of the bugs. It is an incredibly minor bug but he needs to discuss it with me first to help him find it. I don't think I'll be able to do shipping this side of Xmas. It is still possible – I'll be speaking with the programmer today to assist.

If the world ends tomorrow, there may be an additional delay.

Uber update

Everything except one minor bug is fixed, and it will be fixed shortly. Then I'll do a full test to check everything. When something is changed, everything must be tested again. It is not as simple as just testing the affected parts, because a minor change to the source code can affect other parts. This is painfully tedious testing, so please be patient and understand it is necessary.

Hybrid V3

I've just tested the latest version the the Hybrid V3. The updates had nothing to do with improving accuracy – they were more of a practicality thing to be easier for real casino conditions. It made it easier to do more testing against live spins from my wheel. Basically the accuracy has worked out even better than I hoped for. Reliability under normal conditions is perfect.

When the camera wearer is moving around a lot, I can see some room for improvement but it is not essential and can be done later. As for the final part before it can all be used, this is now about 30-50% complete. The programmers are still working on it together.

Tuesday, December 11, 2012

Uber Shipping

I expect to do Uber shipping around late next week because the programmer needs to correct the bugs first. They are only minor but better to have them corrected first.

JAA Auto Analysis

JAA auto analysis is now much faster on the test server (about double the speed). Soon it will be applied on the player server too (within day or so).

Thursday, December 6, 2012

Hybrid V3

The Hybrid V3 is still a (the) major focus, and the programmers are working on it full time. There's nothing else I can to speed things along – it's just a matter of the programmers completing the work, and I test everything they send me. For those waiting for it, rest assured progress is being made on a daily basis even when I don't report on it. I will give more updates when there is something more significant to report.

JAA Updates

JAA is having more work done, including a few more bug fixes and auto analysis performance enhancements. Most of these are done and working well, but only on the development server for now. They'll be moved to the player server once all complete. Also work has now started on an important part that makes auto analysis well and truly completely automated especially for the more difficult wheels. This has been discussed on the player forum numerous times, so most players who are active on the forum know what the work is. I don't yet know when it will be complete and available for use. For now the focus is on some last issues with auto analysis (mainly the performance issues).

Uber testing

The testing of the latest Uber version has gone very well despite a few bugs found that are being corrected immediately. The programmer has already started work on them.

The good news is the mods we did to make application much easier and more foolproof have been very successful. It will never be 100% foolproof because the player still needs to know what they're doing, but there is less to learn now.

We have to fix the bugs first so I cant ship yet, but rest assured everything is being worked on, and the programmer is working full time, so it wont take long.

Uber testing

I just completed about 2 hours of testing with the basic settings only. So far no problems. Everything is recorded on video as part of support. Tomorrow I will be testing with the more important / advanced settings. Again it will be recorded for support purposes.

Monday, December 3, 2012

Uber Shipping

In the next day or so I'll be testing the latest Uber version, while recording an instructional video. This testing must be done before any Uber shipping. Other computer versions don't need testing full testing as they haven't been modified recently. I may ble to do testing tomorrow, or may take me until the end of the week to find proper time. If you're waiting for an Uber, I understand you may be eager, but the software was recently updated and it needs to be tested properly before shipping. So keep in mind a conservative estimate for shipping to be before end of the week for Ubers.

Roulette Computer and Accessory Shipping

I'm in the middle of doing a lot of shipping for roulette computers and components. Because of other work, it will take me a few days to check and package everything. If you are waiting for something, I expect to ship everything this Wednesday.

Knowledge Base for Player Support

Over the past week I've added many new topics in the player knowledgebase at http://www.genuinewinner.com/forum/index.php?action=kb

Whenever a player asks a question that is common, I add the answer to the knowledgebase so it will continue to grow. Whenever you have a question, please check the knowledgebase first.

JAA Updates

The online wheel analysis software is still having performance issues, despite the recent updates making things overall better. But there is still room for improvement and I'm not waiting for the previous programmers anymore (too slow). So this week I'm selecting new developers to continue the work. I already have 30 or so candidates ready to go so I just need to choose. The previous developers are officially no longer working on this project.

What I mean by performance issues is on some spin profiles, the server will choke and timeout because it doesn't complete analysis before timeout. The result is a plain white screen. It doesn't usually happen but it happens often enough to be an issue that needs fixing.

Unfinished items

I've run out of time today and couldn't respond to all emails and forum posts. I will have to to these first thing Monday. You don't need to resend emails etc.

Uber updates

The Uber update that does peak selection for multiple peaks is now complete and tested. First I'm going to do a demo video very clearly explaining full use starting from taking the ball sample, right through to using more advanced features such as auto target. The explanations will be as clear and detailed as possible. It may be long and boring because of the excessive detail, but at least it will be thorough.

I will do that likely next week and will make the video available shortly after.

After this if anyone still needs an in-person support meeting, one will be arranged.

Wednesday, November 21, 2012

Induction Loops

The new batch of induction loops are now complete and I'll have them in around a week.

Tuesday, November 13, 2012

Testimonials

I'm updating my website so if any players want to send a written testimonial about the system or computers, please email to me directly. They should basically say:

1. how long you've been playing for
2. what you've achieved
3. what you think of dealing with me, the tools & service I provide etc.
4. how it compares to other systems or technology you have

Of course no private information will be published.

If the testimonial is not overwhelmingly positive, submit the form at genuinewinner.com/BANNEDPLAYER.html (kidding)

I appreciate your honesty. The feedback also helps me address problem areas.

JAA

I'm doing some final testing with the JAA software. For this I need a few players to let me know which of their spin profiles in the software (wheel name and profile) they are sure has information added correctly, and as per the requirements in the instructions. It will ideally be old spins that the player do NOT edit anymore so I can always use the same spins for testing. Again I only need a few good profiles from a few players – not every player needs to send profile lists to me!

So far all players that have reported on it say it is working properly, so it should be ok for real use now but still every player should do their own testing before betting for real. Either way you should always test thoroughly and be winning consistently in practise sessions before betting for real on any wheel.

Hybrid V3

The programmers are almost ready to share their source codes for each of their components. From there, they collaborate to make each component work together. Put simply, the components need to communicate wirelessly in a secure way. I will know more about timeframe for completion when both programmers have collaborated further.

Player Support via Emails

To help me provide quick and efficient support for all players, I've created a player contact form at www.genuinewinner.com/players.html. This form is formatted in a way that ensures questions are simple and clear, which ensures I can respond quickly with an accurate answer. For support issues, please first use the player forum at www.genuinewinner.com/forum/ but if your inquiry is private, please only use the new form. All emails sent using this form will be answered first.

Uber upgrades

A bug in the latest Uber upgrades has now been identified, and should be fixed within 24hrs. When fixed, I'll test everything and submit a post to confirm.

Writing Clearly!

Much of the questions players are asking are still unclear. This makes responding much more time consuming and difficult than it needs to be. Often I will spend a few minutes reading and re-reading a sentence, trying to make sense of it when it should take 5 seconds. When this happens for numerous sentences and emails, I end up wasting an hour each day, which to me is a lot of time. There are many other things that are taking my time that shouldn't be.

Please understand I'm just one person, and I need to allocate my time to the priority tasks. To help players get support in a timely manner, there is the forum and the knowledge base with in the forum, so please use them. And very importantly, when you ask a question either on the forum or in an email, make what you want to know A1 crystal clear. Do not write extremely long sentences. Keep it simple and direct.

Most players already help me by doing this, but from now on when I receive questions or information that is simply not clear, I will request you to clarify things and resend your email. In advance I apologize as it may be "annoying", but it is necessary to ensure quality support for all players.

JAA mod to note

If you are developing a custom variant only for specific segregated variables, first select them in the main filter (multiple selections are ok), then use the bottom area to do the usual auto analysis. This way you can do an auto analysis only for a specific ball if it is on the same wheel.

Uber Updates

The updates for the Uber that will make application even easier are almost finished. The main part of it is coded. Now it simply needs to be applied to various parts of the software, then fully tested. Including testing, it is roughly a week from completion. So by around this time next week, it should be available. For people waiting for it, please don't consider it complete until I publish a post saying so. There may be a small firmware upgrade required for it but work has started on it to save time, in case it is required.

JAA (online software)

It appears the issues with JAA are finally fixed - now the server is using multi-core processing. A 1500 spin analysis takes about 30 seconds instead of the server timing out or crashing. This is something like 10 billion calculations so it can't get much quicker, although the typical wheel is for only 150-300 spins per direction.

From the testing I've done so far, it all appears ok but report any issues to me at the player forum: http://www.genuinewinner.com/forum/index.php/topic,6406.0.html

I still need to do some final testing, so I suggest players don't bet for real just yet. Again I will need players to contribute so testing is done quicker.

Thursday, October 25, 2012

JAA

Programmers have stated they have fixed all issues and will be uploading the fixes to the server within 24hrs. We'll wait and see if there is any significant progress. If what they say it accurate, then this is a better option than finding other developers. As soon as changes are uploaded, I'll test assuming its not past 5pm. If it is, I'll test first thing in morning.

Unlock codes & support

All unlock codes are now done. I was a few days behind schedule as work piled up. If you haven't gotten an unlock yet, I haven't received your request.
Also all players need to check the knowledgebase in the forum before asking questions. And preferably use the forum first for support because often other players can answer questions for you, and more often than not the question is already answered there numerous times.

JAA

The online software is having further problems.  I don't know what the cause is this time.   I've given the programmers until Wednesday to fix them, and the other issues, or I'll hire someone else.

Shipping

Items that were supposed to be shipped last week were just shipped today. Items within Australia are sent with a battery via overnight express, although they are sent via road so they may take a day extra. I will send tracking details for international items within 24hrs.

Seeing through cards - technology development

Years ago I acquired technology that is capable of seeing through casino cards. This would have been used to predict the next card in blackjack, and to read the dealer's cards but the problem was it emitted radiation. It is highly illegal and unsafe to blast people with radiation.

A technician I've been developing the technology for years with has been trying to make a version that uses ambient radiation instead. We left it alone for some time though as development couldn't proceed further. We had the design for it and had tested the concept successfully, but for years the only way to build the technology into a small and practical device was to develop components at a cost that made it impractical.

Now things are different and we have the components we need. Development will still be expensive but considering the potential of the technology, it will be worth it. The device will be small enough to be comfortably worn (ie in pocket or strapped to inside of leg), and uses only ambient radiation from space.

The part I love most is we will be using some of the hybrid roulette computer technology. The hybrid technology will track the location of:

a. The player's cards
b. The dealer's cards (including knowing which ones are reversed/transparent)
c. The next card that is to be dealt

The location of these cards is easy because the hardware will have defines card location relative to marks on the table.

Parts A and B will be simple. But part C is a bit trickier. Nevertheless the edge obtainable from knowing the dealer's cards is all we would need.

From this point development will not be difficult – nowhere near as difficult as the hybrid roulette computer. Since we've already developed robust and accurate image recognition technology with the hybrid, much of the work is done.

I will release more details and show a video demo at some stage – I estimate 1-2 months from now for completion of the live card video. Then perhaps 1-2 months development for the rest of it. So conservatively, I will have technology that automatically determines the cards from A,B and C (including cards turned face down), then will give the player a highly covert vibration on whether to hit or stand.

Certainly this is a game changer. I only sold 2 of the hybrid V3s with the rest being used only by my private teams. I expect to also only sell 2 of the x-ray card readers. When I have the prototype ready for demonstration, I will announce it. If you have an interest in purchasing one of them, please keep an eye on my blog, but again it may be 4 or so months from now.

Scatter analysis - method 2 training video

I've uploaded a new training video regarding method 2 of scatter analysis. The download link is in the first at http://www.genuinewinner.com/forum/index.php/topic,255.0.html

Uber minor updates and Hybrid V3

Uber: The minor updates for the Uber are complete. I did some testing last night it seemed perfect, but I'll continue testing today. As he did these updates only days after starting to actually code, the programmer is now working on some of the larger updates – in particularly one that will make play much easier because it will have better automatic peak identification. As per previous posts, peak reading is where many players fail because they don't recognize the edge from the charts alone. It is more than just peak identification but whether or not the phone has the resources to do what I want it another matter. We'll know in around a week.

Hybrid V3: The hybrid programmer is tidying up some code in preparation for merging the phone with the main component (the last stages). This will take him a few days so the phone programmer is doing more Uber updates while he waits. Full completion for the Hybrid including testing and all is likely just a few weeks away.

Spin data sharing and jaa mods

As I have mentioned it before, part of the future updates for the online software will enable players to share data for specific wheels. For example, as many players work with exactly the same wheels, sharing the data between players makes sense. One of the problems with this though is how do we know when a player is collecting accurate data, or just pretending to so they can have access to everyone's data?

JAA (online software) will eventually have a feature that allows you to partner with any number of players. You will be able to form groups where everyone in the group can access each other's data. To avoid inaccurate data , you can select the specific members you want to share data with, and reject data from members you don't know or trust.

There are various design issues that need to be solved to make it reality, but it has been on the to-do list for a while, and will be implemented in due course. For now we are focusing development on making auto analysis faster. So the order of matters are:

1. Make auto analysis faster (this has been going on for almost 2 months now, but appears almost done finally)

2. Addition for auto analysis to make it more foolproof (lets you know how profitable a wheel is, and when it is or isnt profitable. currently jaa just gives you best places to bet and when, whatever the pattern strength. and you need to use the simulation feature to test. this is ok, but it is better to have it 100% automated and quick)

3. Integration with the mobile phones (so players can collect data covertly at the table, and receive predictions via wireless earpiece). So there would be no need to write anything at all down.

4. The data sharing module as explained above.

5. Additional pattern type integration

6. Minor issues to make use more practical: ie import/export data.

The order may change, but this is how things are looking for now.

Hybrid V3 and Uber Updates

The new programmer is moving very quickly, and is understanding everything very well. He has started actual coding initially for some Uber updates (minor updates to begin). But so far he is unable to test them because the Uber software will not run on anything but the specific phone models the Uber is developed for. The Hybrid V3 uses the same phones. The software wont even run in an emulator. As the phone model is discontinued, I've shipped him phones from my stock. They'll arrive in a few days, then he'll be able to continue development.

Once the minor Uber update is complete, he'll begin work on the Hybrid V3 phone component. As he is proving a competent programmer, I don't expect this part of development will take more than 1-2 weeks once he focuses on it. So at this stage it looks quite certain that within 30 days, the Hybrid V3 will be fully complete and ready for actual use, including testing, all components ready and all. The testing alone will take 1-2 weeks depending on what, if any, bugs are found. Almost always there are bugs which is a normal part of development – we just do all testing and correct them when found.

New Uber Version

I now have a new programmer for further development of the Uber roulette computer. One of the determining factors of a player's success is their ability to understand the chart data. Players tend to think they understand it, but still about 80% of players don't accurately recognize their edge – they look for wheels with glaringly obvious peaks when often you don't get this despite having a clear edge. This is partly due to the fact that visually determining an edge with mere charts is insufficient. So the Uber upgrade will give players a perfectly clear indication of whether or not there is an edge, and if so, approximately what it is. This is not as simple as highlighting peaks on a chart.

As I have said previously, I don't think the accuracy of the Uber can be improved further. But there is still room to make it easier to use, and this is the focus of development. In roughly 2 weeks, I will know more about when it will be available.

Hybrid V3

I've now hired the new programmer for the mobile phone component of the Hybrid V3. At this stage he is just reviewing various material to become familiar with the overall project and requirements. Based on what he knows so far, he estimates realistically including understanding existing code, he should be able to complete everything within 30 days. This is more a conservative estimate though and expect it wont take that long.

JAA

The programmers are still working on JAA, but I tested this morning with a 1500 spin profile, and it seemed to work no problems despite it taking about 2 minutes for the server to complete the analysis. The analysis did appear correct but I wont be fully checking it all until the programmers tell me they've finished tinkering with it.

The test this morning suggests the main bugs with the functionality are corrected, but still there are no performance enhancements as the mods were supposed to achieve. But still a 2 or so minute wait for analysis to complete is more bearable than auto analysis not working at all. Anyway I'll give more updates in time, but for now don't use auto analysis for real.

Hybrid V3, Induction Loops and General update

Hybrid V3: Again all that's left to do is the mobile phone programming part. But I need a new programmer for this. My focus is mostly on finding the right developers for the work. It is literally only about 1-2 weeks of coding left for it to be complete, but having to find an additional programmer takes a long time especially for this kind of work. We really need people that know what they are doing or they may waste weeks just trying to understanding the existing code. I did have a programmer set a short while ago, but he didn't like the complexity of the code despite initially assuring me it wouldn't be a problem. Nevertheless I expect to have chosen another developer by mid next week. At the very least all the difficult coding and development is already done and working better than I even hoped for.

Induction Loops: You may recall earlier batches were easily "blown" if you put the battery in the wrong way. It seems the newer batch still has this problem. So for anyone who needed new loops, I'll send two of the older ones which work perfectly fine, unless you put the battery in the wrong way. So don't do it, and carefully check how you put the battery in (the polarity)! Nevertheless I've ordered 100 loops with the vulnerability properly addressed.

General update: Most of my time is being taken up by communicating with programmers either for JAA, Hybrid V3 or other projects. So I'll be on Skype a lot, but I'll be unable to chat much to anyone but programmers. If you see me online it is ok to ask a quick question, but by quick I mean quick. I do not want to appear rude or abrupt, but when 20 people each want only 5 minutes of my time, a large chunk of the day is used. Believe me I'm prioritising tasks so issues for the most people possible are addressed.

JAA Software

The software has many issues that appear to be server resource issues. ie we need a more powerful server. Currently a few people using auto analysis at the same time with 1,000+ spins will cause a crash.  First we'll try upgrading the server. If that doesn't work, we'll need to do a complete move. I'll know more within about 24hrs.

Code Requests

Many players are incorrectly using the code request form. For example, the incorrect product or item is specified for the code submitted. Specifically a player may request unlocking of a document for product they do not have, and such requests are automatically rejected. Additionally, many players are forgetting to specify their e-mail address, so I cannot verify who has made the request. If you haven't received an unlock code for any recent request within 24 hours, your submission had some kind of error and you will need to resubmit.

Misc updates

JAA (online software): programmers are very slow in fixing bugs. I know all about the issues and am hassling the developers.

Hybrid V3: I have the latest version which is supposed to have just about all final issues corrected, minus the wireless communication component. I haven't had time to test it yet, but if what the programmer says is correct, then it would be complete except for the wireless part which relies on the programmers of another component. The issues that were recently worked on were only minor, but still significant for practical seamless operation in the casino environment. I had to get a different programmer for the other component (not the main part, just for the bet receivers), but that work shouldn't take more than 2 or so weeks once they begin work (add 1 week to understand existing code). Basically the previous programmer wasn't comfortable with the size of the existing code he had to work with. Anyway I have many other staff to choose from and will do so shortly to keep things moving.

Emails: I'm now back in Melbourne and have responded to many emails on my laptop while away. I may end up responding to emails/code requests twice because I haven't correctly synchronized my emails between computers.

In all I wont be working a full day today, but will tomorrow. I know about many various issues and am getting through everything in due course. This includes shipping, programming, emails etc etc so you don't need to remind me or re-send emails. If your issue is not resolved by the end of this week, then I may have missed it, so notify me from the upcoming Monday onwards.

JAA online software

JAA (online software) has all issues corrected according to the developers, but I'm not in position to test it until I return on 24th September. To help keep any bug fixing development moving, players need to report bugs to me so I can forward comments/bug reports to the developers.

All emails are responded to except a few longer ones. I may not be able to access the internet properly until i return as the internet access here is worse than I thought. I can check emails daily via my phone, but getting proper access on my notebook is a different matter.

Only other matter is I am unable to unlock ebooks from my notebook because of the software's inbuilt security features (cant do unlocks from this pc). I will unlock ebooks when I return.

JAA online software

The programmers have stated all issues are now fixed except one, and will be uploading the changes to the player server soon. They haven't specified what the one issue is but I'll find out later.

Online / JAA software

There are some bugs in the new version is expected, and the developers are working on them. And now, you may not be able to use some features of the software. For any requests relating to this software, please wait for my announcement that indicates the software is working correctly.

V3 Hybrid basic setup and progress video

A video showing the progress off the V3 hybrid is at http://www.genuinewinner.com/forum/index.php/topic,6407.0.html (you need to be a player with forum access to see actual download link).

Its a bit of a rushed video, but its enough for everyone to see the progress, with a brief explanation of how to set up the tracking, and what is left to do. Essentially what remains is the parts for the wireless connection to the phones, and lots of testing to fix any bugs. In the video I didn't do setup 100% correctly but at least you get the outline of what setup involves. Full and more detailed instructions will be made available to actual users of the technology in time.

**** Away from 9-25th September ****

I will be away between 9-25th September. I will still have Internet access, but it will be limited. For now I'm just trying to get all work done before I leave, so while I'm away I will only need to do emails. While I'm away, please expect me to be briefer in my email responses as my emails will be more of a cram session. The briefer and more direct your emails and questions are, the better it is for both of us. Access codes will be unaffected. I will still treat them with priority and you will have a response within 24hrs.

I will have my mobile phone on me for emergencies, but please respect it is for emergencies only, and very rarely are matters urgent. The last time I was away, players still called me for small matters so I had to turn my phone off which is inconvenient for players who sincerely need something urgently. I hate having to do that but please respect my request.

Online software - new version

I've done some initial testing of the latest online software version. Everything so far looks good, but I can only properly test it with real spins. So the latest version is being installed on the player server within the next 24hrs. That way I'll have plenty of real spins to test with.

FOR NOW DO NOT RELY ON THE SOFTWARE AS IT MAY HAVE BUGS. PLEASE DO YOUR OWN TESTING! REMEMBER I NEED YOUR HELP TO TEST IT AND REPORT BUGS. BEFORE YOU ASK HOW LONG EVERYTHING WILL TAKE, I SUGGEST DO SOME TESTING OF YOUR OWN TO HELP. BUT DO NOT PLAY FOR REAL WITH IT YET. I'LL ANNOUNCE WHEN EVERYTHING APPEARS TO BE PERFECT.

Forum update

I've upgraded the forum so we can use a knowledgebase for members that will help improve support. Basically the knowledgebase will hold all kinds of data that will answer most common questions so I can reduce the time spent giving support, especially for the basic questions/answers. I haven't added anything to the knowledgebase yet, but will do this over time. Everyone can access the knowledgebase via the forum.

New wheel analysis software

I'm in the middle of testing the new online software. I'll post an update when I have something more to report. Unless there are critical issues, the new software will be available for players this week.

Emails

All urgent e-mails and code requests have been responded to. Unfortunately I did not have time to respond to every e-mail, and had to temporarily skip some e-mails that were long and indirect. I will address them Monday. Please keep e-mails short and to the point. If you make responding time consuming and difficult for me, then it results in delayed responses – not just or you. I usually respond to the longest emails last so I keep the least amount of people waiting. If you don't ask clear and concise questions, expect imprecise answers as what you are asking may not be clear.

Email responses

I'm about a day behind on my emails as I've been attending to calls today. But tomorrow I'll be focusing on emails almost all day, so everyone will have a response before the start of the weekend.

Online analysis software

The updated software is complete except for testing etc. As testing usually reveals bugs and issues, it may be a few days before it is available to players – depending on whatever issues (if any) are found.

Shipping and Uber updates

I shipped two computers today – the players were notified. I still have more to ship (I know) and will continue next week. Also a few Uber updates are being done which should all be complete within a month.

Hybrid V3

Progress is almost at the point where players can begin training. Generally the training will consist of:

1. a series of videos that demonstrate how to set up the tracking of the wheel location, the ball, and the green zero. It is very simple but will cover the finer points so you'll have a good knowledge of everything before in-person training. (I'll do this first)

2. videos of actual application on a real wheel

3. written documentation similar to the Uber version's instructions as both the Uber and Hybrid use much the same features.

4. In-person training

I'm now satisfied that setup for the ball and rotor tracking is simple enough for anyone to use. As per my previous announcements, accuracy has been perfected for some time, but I wanted it to be simpler to setup so a user could see a quick instructional video and know what to do. Now setting up the automated timings takes about 60 seconds once the user knows what they're doing.

There will be a lot of new developments over the next week or so as we're putting the final parts in place. For the previous development, things felt very slow because the work is largely the kind of difficult development that takes most companies 5 or so years. But again these difficult parts are now done.

It is still difficult to estimate when things will be completed to the point where it can be used. What's left is some of the communications between electronic parts, and security features to the point where if a player is caught with the equipment, there is nothing substantial enough for the casino to have as evidence that any roulette computer is involved – ie not enough for any charges. Not that it would be used illegally anyway – its more a precaution in case the player obtained inaccurate legal advice about where they were playing.

Anyway the last parts may take about 3 weeks, then everything just needs to be tested thoroughly. I will know more about estimated time for completion soon. Purchasers will soon see more videos and it will become clearer how close we are.

Keeping emails short and to the point

Just a few reminders. Please:

* keep your emails short and to the point. Rarely do you need to tell me every little detail.

* give some thought to how you structure questions, and making them clear. If I read a sentence that does not make sense, rather than spending 30 seconds trying to decode what you may mean, I will ask you to clarify it which delays you getting an answer. 30 seconds is significant when doing it for many questions and emails.

Remember the easier you make things for me, the better I can assist everyone in a timely manner.

Delayed responses

I've just about recovered from a huge crash on my PC from which I send and receive emails. I maintain records of all emails back to 2001 (over 600k emails!) so it took some time to organize things. For the rest of the day I'll just catch up on responding to emails. If you don't get a response today, it will be Monday. FYI Thunderbird is pathetic at system restores, don't use it if you need a robust solution.

Online software update

The programmers have stated they expect to be complete with the JAA (online software) update in roughly 3-4 days. But keep in mind I'll need to test it etc. The changes include:

1. Better use of multi-core processors on the servers, so auto analysis will be done in much less time. We don't yet know what the improvement will be.

2. Cleaner user interface.

3. Overall better program structure and technology, which makes development of the new add-ons easier to do. Some of the add-ons include:

        i. Integration with the mobile phone spin collection software: so players can collect spins and have them automatically analyzed, and predictions are sent wirelessly to a hidden phone without the player needing to do anything other than enter data after each spin, and bet.

ii. Automatic notification of when patterns are strong or weak, so you know when you should or shouldn't play on a wheel. This is a critical component for auto analysis that is needed to make the automated software truly automated to the point where experienced players achieve the same results of new players.

iii. There will also be some other minor updates that will make managing your data and general software use easier.

Ultimately the aim is to bridge the gap between experienced players that do very well, and inexperienced players that have limited success.

Shipping

Unfortunately I couldnt get all shipping done this week. For the one emergency case though, this was shipped today. I am at least up to date on all work except for some emails that I'll do in the next hour, so I expect to resume shipping likely Tuesday.

Hybrid V3

I received the latest build today. This version uses a slightly different approach that ultimately makes setup easier. A side benefit was accuracy of timings are further improved. This version looks at numerous ball detections each pass, then calculates the ball timing based on position. Previous versions considered 3 ball locations and timings, but the latest version has no limit to the number of detections per revolution.

In simpler terms, the more the ball is seen, the more accurate timings are. In each pass, the ball may be seen by the camera 3 - 10 times. The only real limits are:

* The lighting: the darker the room, the slower the frame rate possible

* Camera quality: the better the camera, the better the frame rate especially in low-light conditions

* Accuracy from initial testing of latest version is about +/-6ms accuracy which is slightly better than previously. This is for a single revolution (pass of the ball). With multiple revolutions, it is easily reduced to +/-2ms or better.

The V3 timing accuracy is vastly superior to any manual clocking computer in every way. Automated, quick, very accurate, and it never gets tired. Setup is now much easier too. I can't see how it could get much better so I'm very happy with progress.

I expect it shouldn't be much more than a week for it to be operational to the point where it could be used. But there remains some of the secure wireless work to be done. Overall, a reasonable estimate for full completion is about 3 weeks.

Ebook issues on Windows XP

As far as I know, the only players experiencing ebook issues now are using Windows XP. The programmer released a version with a change which may solve the issue (navigation cancelled message). We dont yet know if it will work.

If you are still having issues, download the latest ebook file and try again (delete the old file first). For the roulette computer users, I've changed the link location so email me for the updated link. If you just wanted the primordials document, it is at the same location.

Software and ebook unlocks

From now on please everyone use the software and code request form on the gw site. If you send codes via email, it makes managing requests time consuming for me.

Blog calls tomorrow

I wont be available tomorrow (Thursday) from midday onwards. I'll next be available this upcoming Monday. Before I leave though I'll be up to date on all emails and unlocks etc provided requests are sent before 11am my time.

Ebook issue solved

All ebook issues appear to be solved now, which includes the automated locking which was caused by a paranoid security feature. But before I unlock any ebooks for you, first delete the old ebooks, and download the new. Then if the software gives you a new unlock code, send it to me for unlocking. Sorry for the inconvenience but at least it now appears to be solved.

Ebook: navigation cancelled error

The programmer suggested: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/crminthefield/archive/2011/02/21/quot-navigation-to-the-webpage-was-canceled-quot-error-is-displayed-when-trying-to-open-and-view-the-microsoft-dynamics-crm-2011-implementation-guide-ig-chm-file.aspx

It will be different for different versions of windows. But basically right click the EXE file and look for a setting to give the file full permissions.

Also the automatic ebook blocking is now solved, but I have to create all the EXE files again which will be done in the next few hours. I'll post a different update about that.

e-book issues

Some players are still having trouble with the e-book, specifically stating the "navigation to webpage was cancelled". Again this has nothing to do with the software, entirely to do with the Internet explorer settings on your computer. It is specifically Internet explorer regardless of what browser you use. it mostly occurs with Windows XP.

Google "navigation to the webpage was cancelled windows xp" and there is ample information. Unfortunately I can't help it is more than this as it is a Windows issue to do with your computer's security settings.

in an unrelated problem, but also to do with the e-book software, some ebooks are still being automatically locked. make sure you have downloaded the latest version of the e-book software, as it helps the program on track what the problem is.

General schedule

I haven't had time to barely look at my emails but will focus entirely on them tomorrow, so I will be fully up to date by the end of Friday.

Hybrid V3 Update

Progress is extremely good and detections are 100% accurate in suitable conditions, and timings are comfortably accurate to within 10ms. So the main parts are perfect. Now most of the work is making it EASIER to set up. Already it is very simple but there is still room for improvement.

The latest video update is at www.roulettesystemanalysis.com/m/v3ir.wmv
This time it is WMV format.

About the Video:

* The wheel's location is tracked, and the ball is searched for in the box.

* Another part of the software shows the extracted video for analysis. I created a "picture in picture" video so you can see what the software sees.

* The ball is marked by an orange box

* Because video frame rates would normally have significant errors, the position of the ball relative to a fixed reference point is accounted for. So if the ball is say 15 degrees off, the software determines the precise timing based on the angle discrepancy. It is accurate to within 10ms, which is 50 times more accurate than manually clicking a button as normal roulette computers do.

* Development has cost me now nearly 3 times as much, and many times longer than originally anticipated. But because of the time to develop, purchasers will only pay the mid-range of original estimates.

* It is difficult to give a time estimate for release. First we have to complete making setup easier, then check for any bugs. Then a few of the other minor components need to be completed. I will give updates when I know an accurate estimate.

Ebook issues

The ebook software appears to automatically re-lock ebooks after a while. The programmer is looking into it. I don't expect it will be a big bug so it should be fixed soon. But until it is fixed, I wont attempt unlocking ebooks as this will help him identify and fix the problem.

JAA (wheel analysis software)

Firstly when I refer to JAA, it just means the online wheel analysis software. I decided to upgrade the server so that the auto analysis is much quicker. Instead of using two connected servers, we will use eight core processors. This is complete overkill for most of what the software does although it should more than halve the time taken for auto analysis. It may even be as much as 5 times faster. The downside is much of the software needs to be rewritten in a different language so multicore threading can be used. This will take a bit over a month. Work has just begun, although there shouldn't be any interruptions with the current server.

auto analysis software security

Just a note about a security warnings of the software: when you are asked to allow security for Bob, select yes. Bob is just the name I gave to one of the servers. Not very creative, I know.

Online software

The changes are uploaded to the player server. I tested auto analysis with 1,000 spins, and the server took about a minute to return a response with details of the analysis, but the analysis was still done correctly. Its a painful and annoying wait, but there's not much we can do about it. Again a few BILLION calculations are being done so regardless it is going to take time.

The programmers have suggested that the code be optimised somehow, which may improve analysis speed. But this may take approximately one month if it is at all possible. At least for now, everything is working as it should. But to be sure, I need players to test the software to make sure - especially players with more than 1500 spins.

Online software issues for too many spins (auto analysis)

The programmers have resolved the issues on the test server, but that they couldn't get it working properly on the player server. They are still working on it but at least there is progress.

Ebook error "Navigation is cancelled"

If you open the ebook and get an error saying "Navigation is cancelled", this has nothing to do with the ebook. The cause and solution is explained at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/967941

Forum messages

A few players sent me important messages via the player forum. Please keep in mind I very easily miss forum messages, so please never use them to contact me. Important messages should only be sent via email. Soon enough I'll implement a web-based support system which will improve efficiency.

Ebook issues

The ebook server is now active again but work is still being done. You are able to unlock documents etc. The software is having an update done but this is more on the admin side, so it shouldnt affect everyone. If it does, it just means you'd need to download the document again later. I'll let everyone know if this is the case.

Thursday, June 21, 2012

Online wheel analysis software

The issue with the software not dealing with 1500+ spins is still not yet resolved. The two obvious solutions are:

1. Dont use so many spins (you dont need that many anyway)
2. Upgrade server (but this means even more expense for me but only for the few players it affects)

The way things are looking, it appears the software will need to write cache files like virtual memory, then access them as it does analysis bit by bit. This is not a simple task and will take at least 2 weeks to program and test. Given that I stopped taking new players and I am not changing everyone monthly fees to access the server, and the issue only affects the minority of players, I'm looking for a more viable solution. For now though, simply don't use as many spins. Keep it to no more than 300-400 per direction. Either way the programmers are still looking for a simpler solution.

Once it is solved whatever way, we'll start work on the module that does the last major automation part which will make it as foolproof as possible, minus some few minor bits. After that, then we'll integrate the mobile phones (system phone).

Documents

Still you may not be able to access any of the ebooks/documents. The server change is in the final stage, and everyone will have document access again within 48 hours. When you will have access depends on your ISP as they propagate the changes.

Analysis Software

There was a hacking attempt on the analysis software. I expected it would happen eventually, which is why all scripts are run on a remote server. The server that was attacked only holds the front, and the actual location is well protected. Paranoia is sometimes justified, and does pay off. But the user database was flooded with garbage, which may take a while to fix. So there may be a service interruption for a day or so. As for the auto analysis issue with 1500+ spins, programemrs are still working on it. I just spoke to them and will get another update tomorrow.

Ebooks and Documents

Most documents will be locked automatically because we're in the middle of changing ebook servers. The whole process takes about a week and its almost done, but it also depends on your internet service provider. So for now and for the next few days, many people wont be able to open any documents. At least when the move is done, there wont be further issues.

Hybrid V3 Video

The progress video of the hybrid v3 is now available at http://www.genuinewinner.com/forum/index.php/topic,401.0.html

The timings from repeating the same video are below:

This is from a standard PC and still the timings are almost all within 10ms accuracy. In fact they are mostly 5ms accuracy, but the few discrepancies are because of the computer's background processes. On the actual hybrid hardware, there wont be background processes that interfere. It is basically a PC stripped of background processes so that all it has to do is get accurate timings. Either way, the difference between 5-10 or even 15ms isnt significant

The progress video shows:
  • The test interface
  • Wheel location tracking (tracking where the wheel is when the camera is moving).
  • Ball timings: I repeat the spin a few times so you can see the accuracy of timings, when the camera is moving more it would in typical conditions

Again these are the hardest parts done.

Players for this computer will be asked to arrange a meeting with me for training in about a month or so - just whenever the completed package is fully tested and ready to be used. I'll keep you updated.

Ebook documents

The recent problem with the books was the server, not software. It is still having issues so I've started the server transfer process. Unfortunately it will take at least a few days, but at least it will solve the problem. I'll post an announcement when it is done.

Wednesday, June 13, 2012

Hybrid V3 video

Just a note I was out today so couldnt do the V3 hybrid video, but am doing it tomorrow. Again the hard parts are all done, and its working very well. Now its more just tidying up, last features, bug fixing etc.

Instructions/ebooks

The recent issues with the ebook software were due to the server being down, not a software error. The server is ok now, so everyone should be able to open the documents. If the server has issues again, I'll just change hosts.

Tuesday, June 12, 2012

Ebook access

There is a problem with the ebook authentication process. Keep in mind it is new so is bound to have a few bugs, especially after a recent update. We're aware of the problem and fixing it asap. I'll post an update once the issue is corrected. But for now, you may not be able to access any documents (only for day or so).

Hybrid V3

I received and tested the latest Hybrid V3 version, which has a few improvements. Most relevant is if a ball detection is missed, the software will look at data from a few seconds earlier, and can establish ball timings from this. This in turn allows it to more accurately predict when the ball passes a fixed point in real-time.

Put another way, if the ball decelerates with timings:

500ms
600ms
700ms
800ms
900ms
1000ms

Then the software knows when to expect the ball to come into view. This way it can better filter out video noise, so it knows what parts of the video are the ball. It is simple for us as humans to do this - to us we just know roughly when the ball will pass, so we know when to look for it. But coding a computer to do it is much more complex.

From tests I did, I did not miss one ball detection at all - not even one. The maximum deviation of timings I encountered was 15ms, which is still well below the 50ms we get from any manual clocking computer. But the average error was about 5ms. So it is about 5 times more accurate than manual clocking roulette computers.

The remaining work before it is available to players:
  • refine rotor detection algorithms (not difficult work - 3-5 days)
  • wireless transmission module (part that sends prediction to players - fairly straight-forward but tedious testing as we need to ensure it isnt easily detectable, about 1 week)
  • software security: to make it just about impossible to use the software without authorization (1 week)
  • General bug testing and refinements (1 week)

Rounded off to about a month before full completion/availability. It has all taken longer than expected, as any developmental project does. But we have the wheel tracking part done (finding wheel location and tracking it), and the ball timing algorithms are perfect now. So these are by far the two hardest parts done. I will do a video of these parts for players first chance I get.

I have prepared the hardware so once everything is ready, the package will be complete, and players can arrange to meet for training etc.

Email responses and v3

While I've stopped sales, it has only meant I shifted focus to other things so I'm still as busy as before (for now). Things will start to calm down in a week or two.

So for now, I've lagged behind on emails and couldnt take calls today. I expect to be up to date on emails by end of tomorrow. Please dont resend emails - I'll respond soon. Realistically, in roughly a month I'll have a lot more spare time on my hands so I'll respond in less time to emails.

Also I have the latest hybrid v3 version for testing. Everything is going very well and I'll make the video for purchasers asap.

Friday, June 1, 2012

Hybrid V3

I expect to do the V3 video for purchasers some time next week (to show progress). Things are going very well, but we changed part of the program, which led to some bugs that set us back a week or so. But we're past them now.

Below are some comparative timings from the same spin on my home PC (4 different tests):

These are not at all optimized, and my PC runs many processes. The V3 hardware will be stripped of background processes so will be even more accurate, although even the above is overkill. Remember that manual clocking computers can only be accurate to within 50ms, and the above is much more accurate. The above timings are from a moving wheel in a video, to make things difficult. But I dont expect you'll dance in front of the wheel anyway.

With the ball at roughly 700ms, this is quite fast and still you can see the accuracy of ball timings is very high.

Registering ebooks

Just a note about registering the ebooks: we are doing some maintenance on the authentication server so you may get some errors when trying to register, so just try later if you have issues.

All documents

All documents registered before today have now been disabled, so you wont be able to open them. For the new documents, we are now using the software I had created for it, which is also the service I provide at www.freedocumentsecurity.com

I had this software created because no other software had the features needed. However, the only documents that have particularly sensitive information is the Uber documentation, but even if they leaked it wouldn't be a major issue. But still it is better to have the security than not.

To request access to any new documents, see http://www.genuinewinner.com/software.html

Computer shipping

Yesterday I received another 5 Uber phones from the technician, and today shipped a different 5 - you will have been notified if yours was sent. I have 7 Uber phones left for now and will ship them mid next week. If you dont receive your phone from the remaining 7, you definitely will about 2 weeks from now. But with the 7, I should have enough to ship everyone else who is waiting.

online software

Programmers have said they're almost done on a solution for the server freezing with too many spins. It may be fixed before Monday, but I wont be testing until monday.

Roulette computer shipping

I've resumed roulette computer shipping with the first batch being shipped today. You will have been notified if yours was sent. If it hadn't been sent, it will shortly. As usual I must send to purchasers before partners.

Wednesday, May 23, 2012

General schedule

For 2 days I've been working with the programmers to upgrade a server. It has been non-stop work so I'm behind on emails. I'll definitely be up to date by the end of tomorrow though.

Hybrid V3

The testing of the latest version has shown the timings are accurate to within 5ms. This is for just one revolution, not multiple. So if the actual ball revolution is 600ms, the Hybrid will detect it to within 595-605ms. The earlier version was  accurate to within 15ms which was more than enough anyway.  The 5ms accuracy is a big difference to the 50ms for any manual clocking computer. In simpler terms, the Hybrid v3 produces timings TEN TIMES more accurate than any roulette computer where you click a button to take timings, and it's all done completely automatically. For a manual clocking computer to achieve the same accuracy, multiple revolutions must be clocked, which results in predictions being too late on many wheels. Although the real benefit is that no player needs to even look at the wheel, so more can be won without drawing too much attention.

It is doing this with 30fps video. Anyone inexperienced in these matters may suggest such accuracy is not possible with 30 frames per second video. But the hybrid takes the location of detection and angle into account, then compensates to refine the timing. Distortion of ball image is not at all a problem (what a human and camera sees are quite different).

The actual timings are being tested with a 500 FPS video camera, so there is a negligible 2ms discrepancy.

Considering this is being achieved while the camera is being waved around to try and challenge the equipment, the overall results are better than I expected.

Coding for other hardware the Hybrid uses is about half complete. A full working kit ready for demonstration and/or use may be ready in roughly 2 weeks, but it is more conservative to estimate 4 weeks considering a lot of bug testing may be required. But either way soon I'll send a video to players waiting for it so you can see progress.

Uber shipping

The firmware issue is now fixed, and I can produce builds in a quick and
simple way. So I can resume shipping but considering the programmer is
now working on updates, it would be better to have them done before
shipping. At least one update that is minor and slightly improves
accuracy for auto target. This shouldnt take more than a week. Then I
can continue shipping the Ubers.

The other updates will take a bit longer. For example, the automatic
peak finder. This is more for players new to reading peaks. But it is
also where a lot of players have problems.

Auto analysis again

It appears one of the "freezes" for the auto analysis software is an actual freeze, and not the typical delay. This occured with over 2000 spins on the profile. I calculated the number of pemutations required for this many spins, and get more digits that fit in the window. 1000 spins gives a delay of 30 seconds, so 2000 will give a delay of well over 60 seconds (it is not a linear relationship). This would cause the server to timeout, because most servers wont allow the running of any process for more than 60 seconds.

There are two options from here:

1. Upgrade the server (about $300/month for what we need)

2. Have the programmers create processes for temporary files, then break the processing up in parts.

For now I'll just see what the programmers say.

But in all, 2000 spins is a lot more than you would need for auto analysis. Normally you wouldnt need more than 200-300 spins per direction, but on many wheels even 100 per direction is sufficient.

Any upgrades wont cost players. So far the issue only affects one player, and introducing a simple profile split feature is all we'd need, for when auto analysis is used.

Auto analysis

A few players have reported that auto analysis just "freezes" when it is used. As explained in the forum and in blog posts, this is because the recent updates to make it better make the server do a lot of calculations, and it takes anywhere from 10-30+ seconds for the server to return the results. So the lag is normal.

Players need to keep an eye on blog updates. Not all are relevant to everyone, but many important announcements are made.

Update

It appears I underestimated how much software I actually need for my new PC, so I couldn't finish all emails today. I'm almost complete and will definitely be up to date by end of tomorrow. I know there are pending important matters and they'll all be sorted shortly.

Monday, May 14, 2012

Update

I've just bought a new pc so have been busy today transferring all files and installing programs etc. I'll be up to date on all emails by around midday tomorrow.

Thursday, May 10, 2012

General update

Almost all emails are done. I'll finish the rest by midday tomorrow. There are a few other issues like shipping that I'm getting through.

Monday, May 7, 2012

Email responses

Over the weekend I've received over 200 emails, and I still have other work to do. I'll get to the emails as soon as possible and expect to be up to date by wednesday. Believe me I'm aware of them and will not forget, so please don't resend emails.

Hybrid v3

Soon I'll release another video of the hybrid v3, but it will probably only be for actual purchasers to see where development is at. Essentially already the timings of the rotor and ball are obtained with accuracy to 15ms. Whether or not it can be improved further wouldn't matter as 15ms is exceptional considering manual clocking errors typically have 50ms error.

We are now just fine-tuning things. For example, modifications to increase adapability in different lighting conditions.

Then the last stage is integrating everything so each part of the hardware communicates seamlessly.

Overall, I expect everything should be complete and ready for application in roughly a month. This phase is particularly tedious as we work through each part to ensure you dont encounter a bug in the middle of play. But once you see the video, you'll know the wait was well worth it, and that there isnt long to go.

Online software

A bug was fixed in the online software - it should be the last of them. But I havent had the chance to test it yet. Players who use the online software need to assist me with testing and report their findings. For the next few weekdays I'll be mostly focusing on other business as I wind up roulette product sales. Once I've finished this work, I'll announce the set closing dates. One of the main purposes of working on the online automated analysis software is so players don't need to rely so much on direct support.

Again the stopping of sales doesn't at all mean I am leaving or that I wont be dealing with roulette. I will still very much be active with roulette, including posting on forums and development of technology for my private teams. It means nothing more than I wont take new players (selling products). There may be one exception which is I may offer a very basic roulette computer (that requires virtually no support because it's very simple). It will be very cheap and affordable for everyone. This is because I'd rather not leave people with the only option to buy very poor computers for thousands, only to find the seller lied about its capabilities in modern casinos. Instead, you'll be able to buy a simplistic computer that does exactly the same thing as other simplistic computers do, without needing to pay thousands. There are more free video tutorials to come to help people recognise scams, and a lot more goodies for everyone - all in time though. For example, the completion of the visual ballistics video tutorials - these are methods some consultant charge up to $5000 to teach you, but I them for free because they're nowhere near as effective or practical as roulette computers, or the genuinewinner.com system.

Emails

All emails are up to date. I need to focus on other business tomorrow so am unlikely to respond to new emails tomorrow, but will address any support questions via the player forum.

Online software testing

A few minor bugs have been corrected, but they didn't interfere with the actual accuracy of analysis. One last part needs to be checked, which is being done now. Again it is important that players also help with the testing as its more time consuming with these mods.

As for server delays with the processing of data, the delays are typically 10 - 30 seconds per analysis which is managable. Remember to expect the delay and not to click the analysis button again. The server is running a Intel Xeon E5-2670 2.60GHz CPU which is very fast as it is, so there isn't a lot of room to move for now anyway.

For now, all players should still be testing auto analysis without using real money, until all bugs are sorted out. It may be that everything is correct and completed, but only further testing will establish this.

Schedule update

Just a correction on previous update: I have a demo tomorrow (Friday) so I wont be up to date on emails until Monday afternoon.

Uber update & general schedule

Finally the firmware issue is fixed and I can install the latest version on the new phones. At the moment it is more of a patch than permanent solution, but I can at least distribute the new phones.

As I've been busy testing a lot of things, I've fallen behind on emails again, including some order processing for the system, but I'll be up to date by the end of tomorrow. And just a reminder for system players to help test the auto analysis software update.

Softare updates

I wasn't working yesterday as it was a public holiday. But various programmers have progressed with software as below:

Online wheel analysis software:
The update for auto analysis has been uploaded to the player server. At this stage it has not been tested properly. It was specifically moved to the player server to test on real spins. You can test it yourself, but the changes are internal with no visible signs. Two things you will notice are simulations are more profitable (as are actual play sessions), and after clicking "start auto analysis" there is a significant delay. You may recall me saying because of the many permutations (like combinations) in the analysis, there will be a lot of server load. The testing I've done so far was on a profile with 2000 spins. To complete the auto analysis took 56 seconds. So on a trypical profiule with around 300 spins, the delay should only be about 10 seconds.

Important:
  • After you click "start auto analysis" or use any of the auto analysis section, expect some delay. Do NOT click any buttons again until the server returns a response (new page loads)
  • Delays will be higher or server errors may result if multiple people are doing analysis at the same time. We wont know this until more players use it.

If you are going to use auto analysis, do not bet real money yet. I need to do at least a few days of testing to make sure it is working correctly. There are bound to be a few bugs. I already found one but it is minor. To help with testing, by all means test against real spins and report at the player forum. But again, for now, don't bet real money.

Uber roulette computer on new phones

The programmer has finally sent me his solution for the firmware compatability issue. I haven't tested it, but will today.

On a final note, if you are an Essendon supporter, yesterday would have been painful. Sorry.

Misc updates

General schedule: I was behind on emails for most of last week, but am now only 3 days behind. I'll catch up on the rest of emails by the end of tomorrow.

Auto analysis update for online software: the programmers still havent responded. I am chasing them up.

Hybrid V3 single player version

We've tested new and smaller equipment, and I can confirm the V3 Hybrid can be used by a single operator. So a single player can wear all equipment without a problem and get predicitons without even looking at the wheel. Modifications to clothes are realistically required but the hidden electronics will not realistically be visible. Players will have multiple versions to choose from but the options will be explained in person where you can see for yourself and decide.

Auto analysis for online software

The programmers have started work on the modification for auto analysis. As they'll be tinkering with it on the actual server, do NOT use auto analysis until I specify. They expect to be done within roughly 6 working days for the first part, but then I'll need to test it all. The testing shouldn't be difficult or time consuming though.

Again this mod gets rid of the "best fit" parameters for the average wheel, and better specifies the parameters for individual wheels.

Easter schedule

I neglected to take into account the amount of public holidays in the Easter period, so most things are delayed a few days. Everything will be back to normal by Wednesday, including shipments done (excluding new Uber roulette computer).

Online software mod

I sent off the specifications to the programmer for price quote etc. I opted to go for a much more complex approach, so it may take about 2 weeks to complete. But the extra wait will be worth it because it better defines the parameters for individual wheels. One potential issue is it involves a lot of data permutations which greatly increase server load. They are not overly complex permutations, but they are repetetive and produce a similar load to software that is used to test server processing speed. Depending on the amount of spins per profile, it may take 5-30 seconds for the server to do the calculations and return a response. We wont know until we test though.

Online software auto analysis

The simulation bug is now fixed. Also very importantly, if you use auto analysis, as per the forum discussions, hold off on using it until we implement another feature which further improves accuracy. Basically there is a parameter value I set that affects all players that use auto analysis. There is no one perfect setting for all wheels, so I have set a kind of "best fit" value. This overall reduces profitability of wheels, but it is very easy to use so its a kind of trade-off for accuracy vs ease of application.

Without the optimized setting for each wheel, this can turn what should be a +500 unit profit to only a +100 unit profit. This is the case with the online casino being discussed in the player forum. We are implementing an algorithm that AUTOMATICALLY determines and applies the most suitable parameter for each individual wheel. This will make it so you have the convenience and simplistic of auto analysis, without losing accuracy.

I don't know when it will be done - I'm only just about to send the programmers the specifications. I expect it will take about a week once they start coding.

NOTE: The above affects you ONLY if you use auto analysis.

Online software simulation feature

The programmers assure me they'll have the bug fixed within 24hrs.

Uber

The new Uber programmer now feels confident enough with the source code
to begin modifications. He still needs to proceed carefully but in
roughly a week, he should have at least completed initial coding so I
can resume Uber shipping.

Hybrid V3

I've received and tested the latest version which combines all the
elements. On my local PC the timings are accurate to 30ms. This means if
I replay a video to get rotor and ball timings, the timings are more
than 30ms inaccurate. Average manual clocking has 50ms error. So there
is significant improvement, but also keep in mind the timings are all
taken automatically, and in footage where the wheel shakes around to
make testing difficult, and there is still room for improvement not that
it is needed.

Affordable housing solutions

Again another non-roulette post, but many of you asked about my foundation's research (universalsymbiosis.org). The current project is the housing, and things have moved along faster than expected. I'm in the middle of selecting a block of land for the building. We also now have a qualified builder on board.

Once the land is purchased, and will only be about $70,000 for roughly 10 acres which is cheap country land, two particular test buildings will be completed. One will be a conventional building that complies with building standards, andf the other will be a foam dome home which is what I most look forward to. Basically the company that does them inflates an enormous ball, sprays it with building foam, covers it in mesh for better support, sprays concrete on it, and basically done minus a fgew points. Very quick and much cheaper. Because domes are self-supporting, they need far less material.

The is to create the cheapest home possible without making it "cheap and nasty". ie from the inside, it will have every appeal oif a normal home. The outside can be made to be whatever we want.

It is difficult to know the timeline for progress, but soon I'll decide on the land which is the first step.

When I have more time I'll give more details, but am posting this because a few players were interested.

New secure document software

The new secure document software is ready. I'm making the service available to the public for free, despite the nearest competitor charges over $10,000 for the same kind of document security. So any document publisher will be able to use it for their own documents for free. It may upset secure document service providers, but it happens - they overcharge anyway.

The website draft is at www.freedocumentsecurity.com but it needs some finishing touches before it is launched and software made available. The software is not related to roulette in any way. Simply I didn't like the secure document software I'm currently using so had my own created which took roughly 2 months to do properly. In the coming week or so I'll transfer all documents to the new software, then the previous documents will be suspended. While I'm at it I'll update the documents. I'll send an announcement when the updated documents are ready.
